Finally, a curriculum that makes Technology Education even more interesting to students by combining The Standards for Technological Literacy, and TSA Competitive Events. This curriculum will provide Technology classrooms the assurance that they are reaching the Standards for Technological Literacy, while maintaining high interest daily lessons. Even if you are not planning on participating in the TSA Competitive Events, The TECHKnow Project will provide wonderful experiences, solid curriculum structure and actively involved students in your classroom.

The TECHKnow Project, was funded in part by the National science Foundation, and in cooperation with the Technology Student Association. TECHKnow was developed at North Carolina State University and is available from Centre Pointe Learning.

Middle School
Unit I - Agriculture/Biotechnology
The Scope of technology has an ever-widening influence over agriculture and biotechnology fields.
This unit will begin the study of those technologies and their applications.
Unit II - Flight Challenge
The success of our modern flight owes a lot to the early pioneers who investigated gliders. The task of designing, constructing, testing and evaluating gliders helped us understand flight, including the technology, science, and math involved.
Unit III - Structural Challenge
The Structural Challenge unit is designed to help you understand the world of construction and to plan and successfully build an engineered structure.
Unit IV - Digital Photography
Even though the advent of digital cameras for the general population is reasonably recent, the technological advances have provided a whole new industry. This unit explores the variety of uses and technologies for digital photography.
Unit V - Medical Technology Challenge
Medicine and related medical fields continue to spread their impact on all of our daily lives. This unit explores some of the fundamental medical practices and implications.
High School

Unit I - System Control
System Control technologies are making extensive changes in production systems and consumer products. This unit introduces the reader to many of the fundamental system control technologies.

Unit II - SCIVIS
Scientific and technological visualization (SciVis) is a new and emerging area in the world of computer visualization. Scientific visualization is the process used to show scientific and technical information in a visual form.
Unit III - Structural Engineering
To build the modern structures of today, structural engineers combine technical skills, computer technology along with mathematic principles to build larger and stronger structures. Structural Engineering analyzes the trade-offs between planned structures, their environments, their uses, and their resistance to various types of failure.
Unit IV - Desktop Publishing
Desktop Publishing is a process that uses small computer driven technologies to create, edit, layout, and often print a variety of print and electronic media materials. These materials include reports, books, magazines, brochures, flyers, newsletters, and advertisements.
Unit V - Manufacturing Prototype
Every new manufacturing machine began as a prototype, a working model of the finished project. This unit involves exploring the background, construction and applications in the world of manufacturing prototypes.
