Unit
5:
Interactions Within Ecosystems
The Interactions Within Ecosystems
unit covers concepts related to two topics:
Living Things and Ecosystems
Students learn that living and non-living things interact to form
ecosystems. They examine a number of biotic and abiotic components
and assess their combined effects on the biosphere.
Humans, Technology, and Ecosystems
Students evaluate the impact of humans and their technology on
ecosystems. The management of landfill sites provides a real-world
example for the study of human impact.
