Unit
4:
Water Systems
The Water Systems unit covers concepts
related to three topics:
The Water Cycle
Students learn how water in its three physical states moves through
the water cycle. They examine human water use, how water is processed
to make it fit for consumption, and how human impact on the water
cycle can be managed.
Water Features
Students explore the role that water plays in the formation of
the Earth's physical features and weather patterns.
Water and Our World
Students consolidate their understanding of the role that water
systems play in global ecosystems, and investigate some of that
ways human activity influences, and is influenced by, the Earth's
water system.
